Living in chennai - A multiethnic and multicultural experience..

Since childhood,Chennai city has been a city of fascination and an obsession to me. As I come from a small town, Tellicherry , the huge buildings, broad roads and the other high-class features of this city always mesmerized me. I love the language Tamil and the people here. I remember when I was a child, I used to leap with joy whenever my parents planned a visit to my aunt's house here in Chennai. So, when I was listed with options to choose the place to pursue my college education, I chose Chennai without a second thought.

The city of Chennai is special in so many ways. It is the only city in India where the posh city life and the local culture blends perfectly, in the right proportions. You can see a lot of magnificent temples - symbols of the ancient Indian heritage as well as Techno parks,Clubs, and other symbols of most-modern technologies co-existing here. One can find a unique blend of culture from traditional foods to fast foods, from ancient temple architecture to modern high-rises and from classical music and dance to the growing nightlife in the city. If you are interested in learning new cultures and seeing architectural symphonies, Chennai is the place to visit. It offers you everything you need- Music,Art,Dance,Drama,Food and lots more.

During the 4 years (or more) that I am going to live in chennai, I hope to capture the beauty of this city in every possible ways, solivagant as well as with friends, and share my experiences through small journals. So here starts my first blog. Chennai diaries :)
